    Position Summary:


    The Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer will oversee the design, development, and deployment of electrical systems and solutions at the North America's leading recycling plant in Texas.

    This position requires an extensive knowledge of electrical engineering principles, and a demonstrated history in design and troubleshooting.

    Electrical System Design:

    Undertake troubleshooting, design, and development of electrical systems encompassing equipment, facilities, power distribution, control systems, instrumentation, and safety systems while adhering to industry standards and regulations.

    Perform necessary calculations to support engineering changes.

    Component Selection:

    Identify and choose suitable electrical components, equipment, and materials for each project, considering factors like reliability, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compatibility.


    Technical Documentation:

    Generate comprehensive technical specifications, schematics, diagrams, and other documentation essential for the design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical systems.


    Project Planning and Management:
    Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to define project requirements, scope, and objectives. Participate in project planning, budgeting, and scheduling discussions. Inspect completed installations to ensure adherence to design, equipment specifications, and operational and safety standards.

    Risk Assessment:

    Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards, ensure safety compliance, and implement mitigation measures following industry standards and regulations.


    Testing and Validation:
    Develop testing procedures and protocols to validate the functionality and performance of electrical systems. Analyze test data and make necessary adjustments to optimize system performance.

    Collaboration:

    Work closely with other engineers, technicians, and stakeholders to ensure smooth integration of electrical systems with mechanical, structural, and control systems.


    Troubleshooting:
    Diagnose and resolve electrical issues, malfunctions, and discrepancies during system installation, commissioning, and operation. Conduct Root Cause investigations of any electrical equipment failures and assist in maintaining necessary data to limit such failures.

    Continuous Improvement:
    Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in electrical engineering. Propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance system efficiency and performance.

    Compliance:

    Ensure that the plant is maintained in accordance with applicable electrical codes and the highest safety & environmental standards.


    Qualifications:


    A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, along with at least five years of relevant work experience, is mandatory.

    Prior experience with high voltage DC power is desirable.

    Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to perform under pressure are essential. Proficiency in data analysis and decision-making is required.

    Effective communication skills are necessary to collaborate with multi-functional teams and convey complex technical details to non-technical stakeholders.

    Attention to detail and delivering top-notch work are crucial.

    Flexibility to adjust to shifting project demands and priorities is important.
