NSY (Normal School Year): September 3, June 20, 2025

Hours per Week:

ESY: To Be Determined
NSY: 32.5 hours/week

Caseload:

Ages range Pre-K - 12
ABA experience or self-contained classrooms preferred
Must be flexible with caseload and willing to help in areas of most need

Special Requirements:

Must be local to the area or commuting from the Jersey side
Valid credentials for Special Education in New Jersey required

Job Description:

We are seeking dedicated and flexible Special Education Teachers (SPEDs) to join our team in Weehawken, NJ. Positions are available for the Extended School Year (ESY) and/or the Normal School Year (NSY). Candidates should indicate their interest in ESY, NSY, or both.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide specialized instruction to students with diverse needs.
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff.
Utilize ABA strategies or manage self-contained classrooms.
Monitor and document student progress.
Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet students' varying needs.

Qualifications:

Valid Special Education teaching credentials in New Jersey.
Experience with ABA or self-contained classrooms preferred.
Flexibility in handling various caseloads.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population.
