This is a key role in our Aerospace Program, reporting directly to the Program Director. The position involves administrative and instructional tasks linked to the program, requiring problem analysis, planning of interconnected activities, and sometimes managing multiple projects simultaneously. You'll often tackle complex issues where standard methods may not suffice. Collaboration with other programs and effective communication both within and outside the college are essential to address students', community's, and profession's needs.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assisting in setting policies for student selection and progress.
• Creating promotional materials to attract students.
• Participating in student admissions.
• Developing curriculum ensuring skill integration.
• Compiling materials for program accreditation.
• Disseminating information within and outside the College.
• Assessing student strengths and weaknesses.
• Evaluating student readiness for profession entry.
• Monitoring flight training by providers.
• Managing adjunct instructors.
• Representing at conferences, meetings, and recruitment events.
• Overseeing flight student enrollment and progress.
• Preparing necessary reports.
• Mentoring student clubs and organizations.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

• Position: P15 level with a specified salary range.

EDUCATION AND CREDENTIALS:

• Required: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in aviation, aerospace, or related field.
• Master's degree in aviation, aerospace, or related field.

• FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) with 4 years of experience preferred.
• Multi-engine Instructor rating preferred.
• FAA Commercial Pilot, Airline Transport Pilot, or Flight Instructor certification.
• Current FAA medical certificate preferred.

• Experience Requirements
• Three years of relevant professional experience.
• Ground/flight instructor experience in Part 141 training program preferred.
• Background working with students in a college setting is advantageous.
