    Responsibilities


    The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, performs routine tasks in patient care and bedside nursing.

    This position requires direct patient care.

    Education and Experience


    • CPR Certification.
    • Knowledge of basic patient care techniques and skills.
    Additional State Specific Requirements


    • AR: Complete a state approved program with at least 90 hours of education/training and pass the nursing assistant competency exam
    • LA: Complete a state approved CNA training program and pass the CNA certification exam
    • TX: Successfully complete a state approved nurse aide training and competency evaluation program and pass the competency evaluation examination OR qualify to be placed on the Texas Nurse Aide Registry through waiver or reciprocity
