  • Support rapid prototyping and iterative development of new ideas, tools, and workflows that enhance scholarly and creative work
  • Partner with colleagues in LITS to advance cross-team projects
  • Provide guidance, training, and consultations for faculty, students, and staff using digital tools, platforms, and methods
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and documentation to ensure successful delivery of initiatives
  • Facilitate workshops, events, and learning experiences that foster experimentation, creativity, and digital fluency across campus
  • Evaluate emerging tools and technologies and recommend strategic opportunities for academic application
  • Build strong relationships with campus stakeholders to identify needs, co-design solutions, and advance shared goals aligned with Hamilton's liberal arts mission
  • Contribute to the culture of innovation, inclusivity, and collaborative problem-solving across LITS and the broader campus
  • Support student workers and project teams by fostering a creative, hands-on learning environment and mentorship culture
  • Communicate project progress and outcomes to internal and external audiences through presentations, reports, and digital platforms

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in a related field (e.g., digital humanities, information science, library science, education, media studies, arts, computer science, or related liberal arts discipline) preferred
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects in an academic, research, library, or creative technology environment
  • Experience supporting digital projects, emerging technologies, academic innovation, or hands-on creative work with students and faculty

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Ability to translate creative ideas into actionable project plans, prototypes, and collaborative initiatives
  • Familiarity with emerging learning and innovation practices, including design thinking, human-centered design, and iterative prototyping
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams and build productive campus partnerships
  • Ability to explore new technologies, experimenting, and learning alongside faculty, staff, and students
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to support diverse audiences and translate technical concepts for non-technical users
  • Ability to support and mentor student employees and student-led creative inquiry
  • Ability to be a self-starter mindset with strong problem-solving skills and a bias toward action, creativity, and continuous improvement

Compensation Range:
