    Job Description

    We are seeking a Healthcare transactional attorney to join our collaborative and talented team. This attorney will have the opportunity to continue growing their practice while benefiting from an already established list of clients. The successful candidate will have transactional experience in health law and be able to provide legal advice on regulatory, transactional, legislative, agency enforcement, and other healthcare-related legal and compliance issues, and develop and recommend solutions.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Assist Shareholders in providing legal counsel to healthcare providers on a wide range of issues, including regulatory compliance, fraud and abuse, licensing, reimbursement, and transactional matters.
    • Draft, review, modify and negotiate professional service, joint venture, business associate, employment, and other healthcare related agreements.
    • Serve on healthcare M&A deal teams, including assistance with due diligence, regulatory review and drafting of transaction documents.
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of corporate compliance and HIPAA compliance programs for healthcare providers.
    • Assist with providing outside counsel services to healthcare clients, including work on corporate documentation and providing legal guidance on day-to-day practice issues.
    • Work with revenue cycle management and other healthcare vendors on contract preparation, regulatory guidance, and related legal issues.
    • Conduct legal research, analysis, and document preparation.
    • Participate in presentations to healthcare and professional organizations on relevant legal topics.

    Requirements

    • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
    • Active bar membership in Tennessee Bar and in good standing.
    • Minimum of 2 years' experience in healthcare law or related fields.
    • Strong passion for healthcare law and a desire to learn and grow in the field.
    • Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills.
    • Previous experience or knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance, and industry practices is a plus.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
