- participating in unit program planning;
- evaluating the physical and neurological status of patients and planning individual treatment programs;
- performing and interpreting results of tests and measurements of the patient's condition for use in preparing the treatment plan, modifying treatment and evaluating results of treatment;
- performing special tests to determine existence of neurological conditions or disease;
- carrying out complex test procedures, determining kind and degree of muscular reactions to test, and interpreting results of test;
- personally, plan and administer physical therapy for patients who have severe or acute physical disabilities, such as fractures, amputations, hemiplegia, peripheral nerve injuries, or other forms of paralysis;
- serving on an interdisciplinary treatment team
- may supervise trainees and subordinate staff.
