    Description

    Within the spirit of "Making People's Dreams Come True", responsibilities of this position have a direct effect on meeting deadlines, quality of product and accuracy while producing the newspaper and commercial work. These duties are accomplished while delivering Raving Fans customer service to both internal and external customers.

    This Full-Time position will require work on nights, weekends, and holidays.

    This position will work in Sumterville, Florida.

    Competitive salary based on experience, starting at $12.00 per hour.

    Responsibilities:

  • Manually shuffles and loads newspapers into inserting machine.
  • Catches, straps and stacks bundles coming off inserting machine or press line. Separates the lead sheets for distribution to carriers.
  • Ability to relocate skids while operating a manual or electric pallet jack. Cuts printed tabs to correct size.
  • Assists in scale counting of newspapers.
  • Assists with maintaining cleanliness and upkeep of facility.

    • Education/Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • Physical/Environmental Demands:

  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and/or constantly up to 10 pounds.
  • Required to move equipment or pallets by operating power industrial equipment and/or pallet jack.
  • Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, heights, potential energy, and vibration.
  • Occasionally exposed to fumes, dust, oils, odors, airborne particles, chemicals, and outside weather conditions.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
