    Job Summary:

    This Registered Nurse (RN) position reports to the Center Manager, with daily responsibility in direct patient care, education, and fostering collaborative relationships with providers and other clinical operations staff.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Performs daily staff nursing activities, day-to-day patient activities, including phone and in-person patient triage and patient education.
    • Collaborates with Providers and Center Manager to identify opportunities to improve clinical performance of back-office personnel and functions.
    • Develops, implements, and monitors the effectiveness of performance improvement activities.
    • Performs regular monitoring activities to ensure compliance with national and organizational standards of care.
    • Maintains current knowledge of state regulations for nursing, medicine, and pharmacy as it relates to scope of practice for back-office personnel.
    • Identifies and provides appropriate resources to educate patients, their families, and staff members on clinical conditions and processes.
    • Oversees clinical quality and patient safety through training and education of the back-office personnel and administrative staff.

    Requirements:

    • A valid, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in state(s) of employment is required.
    • A minimum of 5 years' current direct nursing/medical work experience is required.
    • Work in a community-based clinic, public health department, or specialization with the senior population is preferred.
    • BLS certification for healthcare providers is required.
    • Fluency in Spanish or other languages spoken by people in the communities we serve is helpful.
    • A high degree of emotional intelligence, integrity, driven work ethic, and ability to build relationships and work effectively with diverse populations.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • AA/AS degree in Nursing is required; BA/BS degree in Nursing (BSN) or Healthcare Administration is preferred.
    • Excellent critical reasoning, decision-making, and problem-solving skills to analyze situations, determine risks, and find solutions to prevent future issues and resolve recurring defects.
