    Job Title: Quality and Risk Management Coordinator

    Overseeing Community Hospital of Huntington Park and East Los Angeles Doctor's Hospital

    Job Summary:

    The Quality and Risk Management (QRM) Program Coordinator, reporting to the Director of Quality and Risk Management, is responsible for coordinating and acquiring data from source systems specific to quality and risk management, regulatory and performance improvement metrics using methods of audits, tracers, chronologies, root cause analysis and rounding skill validation activities. The QRM Program Coordinator provides expertise and support for Quality and Risk Management functions, including abstracting, data aggregation and analysis, and medical record review for quality and risk assessment. This individual will demonstrate their expertise in quality management and performance improvement through the coordination and maintenance of quality and risk reduction initiatives to support performance improvement programs, survey readiness, and patient safety. Analyze and trends data for opportunities for improvement/process improvement. This role is expected to apply critical thinking knowledge and analytical skills to assist the Director of QRM and leadership in implementing quality improvement and risk reduction strategies and change with a strong focus on improving quality outcomes and results.

    Experience:
    • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in healthcare quality and risk management.
    • Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, strong organizational skills, ability to follow verbal instructions, and PC (computer) skills.
    • A capacity to learn, synthesize, make critical judgments, work independently, place patients and families first, and collaborate with the team members who are recognized leaders within health care.
    Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, public health, or a related field preferred.
