    Outline of duties:
    Apply knowledge of welding processes, procedures, equipment, and evaluation techniques to deliver weld quality objectives.
    Implement weld quality strategy during launch and product or process change events.
    Train and assist weld inspection team.
    Develop weld control plans and enforce requirements.
    Apply engineering principles and analytical techniques to establish and continuously improve manufacturing processes and products.
    Implement interim and permanent corrective actions to resolve quality issues using Root-Cause analysis, PDCA Cycles, Fishbone analysis, etc.
    Identify sources of variation within a production environment effectively and efficiently.
    Support expedited concern resolution with cross-functional teams including the Quality Department, Maintenance Department, Production, and Suppliers.

    Review incoming quality concerns to maintain quality within Body Shop and initiate containment as necessary, determining root cause and implementing corrective actions.


    Minimum Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree in:
    Welding Technology, Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field
    Robotic Welding exposure in a manufacturing setting.
    Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel and Word.
    Experience using 3D Software (CAD, SolidWorks, etc.).
    Ability to work overtime, as needed.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    3+ years' experience in a high-volume industrial manufacturing environment.
    Automotive industry experience and vehicle body assembly experience is a plus.
    Experience in an automated industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to robotics, automated material handling systems, and communication networks.
    Working understanding of quality fundamentals, basic measurement methods, and statistical process control (SPC).
