- Timely monitoring of accounts payable records and review of payment proposals, ensuring they are in accordance with the budget.
- Preparation and follow-up of closing entries, including bonus accrual, payroll accrual, and amortization.
- Preparation and posting of monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Preparation of annual 1099 forms and knowledge of state, federal, and sales tax regulations.
- Reconciliation of vendor statements with accounts payable records.
- Maintain archives of all supporting documents and signatures for internal control purposes.
- Support the General Accounting Manager in daily tasks and special projects as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA license preferred.
- 5+ years of general ledger experience, with public accounting experience a plus.
- Experience with SAP (specifically accounts payable - finance) preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and proficiency in other accounting processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
- Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs.
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Job Title: Staff Accountant
Location: Grand Prairie, TX 75052, Fully onsite
Pay rate: $36.05hr – $38.46hr depending on experience level
Job Description: As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. You will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including accounts payable, journal entries, account reconciliations, and tax preparation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general ledger accounting, as well as experience with SAP and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
