- Oversee and direct maintenance employees to achieve production priorities safely, with quality in mind, and efficiently
- Lead daily pre-shift meetings, offering feedback and support to employees
- Communicate maintenance concerns and provide status reports to maintenance manager and other plant personnel
- Assist in developing and enhancing preventive maintenance programs for all plant equipment
- Adhere to and uphold operating principles including Magna Employee Charter, Open Door Policy, C48, 5S, Safety First, and company quality/environmental policies
- Support department and plant goals on Employee Opinion Survey
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement corrective action plans if needed
- Maintain all necessary documentation, including employee records
- Collaborate with vendors/contractors in alignment with company values
- Lead department in improving methods and equipment through continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles
- Possibly adjust shifts when necessary
- Handle confidential information regularly
- Perform assigned maintenance tasks
- High school diploma or GED required
- Knowledge of PLC, ladder logic, robotic interfaces, and programming
- Preferably a two-year associate's degree or higher in a related field
- Three years of supervisory experience preferred
- Strong organizational and managerial skills
- Proficiency in computer operations
- Demonstrated integrity, honesty, and ability to handle confidential information
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Ability to solve problems, analyze data, and make informed decisions
