    The Lead Dispatcher/Compliance Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of ISU Flight Academy dispatchers as well as recording-keeping and compliance requirements set forth by the Federal Aviation Administration regarding student flight/ground training at the Indiana State University's Flight Academy. Additionally, this position is responsible for managing and training dispatchers at the Flight Academy to ensure all duties and responsibilities are met.

    All employees and staff of ISU are bound by all NCAA, Missouri Valley Conference and institutional rules and regulations pertaining to intercollegiate athletics and must conduct themselves in accordance therewith.     No ISU employee (whether paid or a volunteer) shall knowingly influence others to furnish the NCAA or an ISU investigator/compliance officer false or misleading information concerning an individual's involvement in or knowledge of matters relevant to a possible violation of an NCAA regulation. Failure to abide by this term of employment shall constitute unethical conduct as defined by the NCAA and may result in immediate suspension and/or termination of the employment relationship with ISU.

    Job Duties Essential Duties and Responsibilities The Lead Dispatcher/Compliance Coordinator will report directly to the Chief Instructor and Assistant Chief Instructor to ensure that the current policies regarding flight training are being followed.

    The responsibilities will include compliance audits of the following:
  • Assist the Chief Instructor in 30-day enrollment letters to the FAA.
  • Help the Ops. Specialist in current student enrollment in a seminar each semester.
  • Ensure student and CFI record folders contain up-to-date documents each semester (SOPs, current medical, pilot certificate, passport or birth certificate, date of written exam, date of practical test and results, date of graduation, termination or transfer, etc.).
  • Verify all lessons in MyFBO are getting completed (signed by the student and instructor, audit all times on records/times pages to ensure the accuracy of records/times on the current electronic tracking system).
  • Properly identify any student graduates that are 141 graduates.
  • Provide the Aviation Department data regarding 141 graduates.
  • Help assist, manage, and supervise dispatchers to ensure the Flight Academy's facility and aircraft are cleaned and well maintained.
