    As the Director of Content Marketing, you will play a vital role in driving our content strategy and ensuring impactful messaging that resonates with our target audience.

    We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Content Marketing to lead our content team and drive the development and execution of our content marketing initiatives.

    Reporting directly to the AVP, Marketing, you will be responsible for creating compelling content that engages our target market and positions Verisk as a thought leader in the insurance industry.

    This is a highly cross functional role requiring both strategic and tactical execution, strong program management, and ability to lead a team.

    This leader will work closely with many other teams like marketing, sales, product, finance, HR, SOC, and other team stakeholders to develop content for a high growth marketing organization and should have exceptional problem-solving and writing skills.

    This role will reside in Jersey City, NJ or Boston, MA, and reports to the AVP, Marketing. The role works in the office 2 days/week.
    Responsibilities
    Develop and execute a comprehensive content marketing strategy aligned with business objectives and target audience needs
    Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, such as product marketing, product management, and sales, to identify content requirements and ensure alignment with business goals
    Work with the CX, marketing analytics, and product marketing teams to identify content gaps, emerging trends, and competitor activities
    Oversee the creation and distribution of high-quality content across multiple channels, including blogs, white papers, case studies, infographics, videos, email, and social media
    Lead a team of 4 direct reports and manage relationships with external agencies, freelancers, and subject matter experts to leverage their expertise in content creation
    Define content standards and ensure adherence to brand guidelines, tone of voice, and style consistency
    Implement effective SEO strategies to optimize content for search engines and increase organic visibility
    Monitor and analyze content performance metrics, including website traffic, engagement, and lead generation, and use data-driven insights to enhance future content strategies
    Manage and work with leadership to create and publish our annual report and CSR report
    Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging content marketing technologies/tools, and recommend innovative approaches to enhance content effectiveness

    Qualifications
    7+ years' experience in content marketing, preferably within the B2B, insurance, or technology sectors
    Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, business or equivalent experience; master's degree is a plus
    Strong knowledge of the insurance industry and the ability to understand complex data analytics concepts
    Demonstrated experience managing a team of content creators and agencies – ability to drive results, lead cross-functional teams, influence others and foster positive collaboration
    Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and ability to adapt content for different audiences
    Proficiency in SEO best practices and content optimization techniques
    Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and deliver high-quality work within deadlines
    Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to drive content decisions and measure performance
    Familiarity with content management systems, marketing automation tools, and analytics platforms
    Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and strong working knowledge of project management tools like Workfront
