Job summary
Roanoke County Public Schools is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Supervisor of Special Education for the school year.
This position will begin interviewing immediately and will remain open until filled.Responsibilities
- Develop and implement professional development to address identified needs based on data and the strategic plan of the school district ,
- Servicing schools programs staff PPS legal advisement technical assistance IEP goal development & data sheets Synergy Assistive Technology Homebound/based testing 504 transition etc. ,
- Presents monthly meetings with building level special education coordinators administrators staff participates in special education advisory committee roanoke county public schools conduct observations written report students/staff instructional support training general special education teachers direct evaluation staff serve children services act committees community action committees representative collect data state performance plan special education communicate with administration community assist administrators teachers other support safety purchase materials equipment facilities liaise private residential facilities monitor local state federal trends policies regulations laws conferences meetings recommend employment placement duties assigned superintendent
