    Description

    Job Description

    Our client, a small private equity owned manufacturing company, is seeking a Controller responsible for overseeing the monthly close process, financial statements, accounts receivable accuracy, accounts payable supervision, payroll management, budget preparation, tax projections, and tax return preparation.

    • Lead the monthly financial accounting closing process
    • Ensure timely and accurate financial statements completion monthly
    • Reconcile bank/cash accounts, balance sheet accounts, and inventory
    • Monitor cash accounts and cash position regularly, plan cash receipts and disbursements, and provide cash management analyses to senior leadership
    • Manage fixed asset system for proper capital expenditures and depreciation accounting
    • Supervise tax reporting completion
    • Coordinate year-end financial audit
    • Develop a team of accounting professionals
    • Ensure internal controls align with best practices, review periodically, and explore new processes and technologies

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field; CPA or MBA preferred
    • 5+ years of accounting and finance experience
    • ERP system implementation experience
    • Proficient in Excel; consistent user of PowerPoint and Word (MS Office Suite)
