    Job Summary

    As an Urgent Care Advanced Practitioner (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner), you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional clinical services for a variety of acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains, and minor infections. You will work closely with or in place of a physician to provide quality care, necessitating sharp assessment skills to identify more serious conditions and ensure patients receive the appropriate level of care when needed.

    Job Requirements

    • Education:
      • Bachelor's Degree required for Physician Assistants
      • Master's Degree required for Nurse Practitioners
    • Work Experience:
      • 2-5 years of post-residency clinical experience required
      • Minimum 18 months experience in applicable practice setting required
      • Experience with both adult and pediatric populations preferred
    • Required Licenses/Certifications:
      • National Certification
      • Active state medical licensure
    • Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
      • Experience working in an Urgent Care or Emergency Room setting
      • Proficiency in office procedures including suturing and splinting
    • Preferred Skills:
      • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records
      • Excellent listening and communication skills
      • Strong customer service abilities

      Essential Functions

      • Conducting thorough examinations and treating patients.
      • Taking and documenting patients' medical histories.
      • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and X-rays.
      • Making accurate diagnoses and prescribing medications as needed.
      • Treating minor injuries, which may include sutures, splints, or casting.
      • Recording progress notes for follow-up patients.
      • Providing education and counseling to patients.
      • Ordering and/or carrying out therapy plans for patients.
      • Administering vaccinations and making referrals for additional care.
      • Performing other duties as assigned by management.
