- Utilize a course syllabus for each course and follow established departmental and institutional guidelines for seminar classes.
- Lead and guide discussion seminars on a variety of texts (literary, historical, philosophical).
- Evaluate students notes periodically by established means to measure their progress in achieving course objectives.
- Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- MA or PhD in History, Literature, Philosophy, or similar field.
- Experience with Classical education and Socratic/seminar discussions preferred
- Teaching experience preferred
- Ability to teach survey courses on historical, literary, and philosophical texts in a manner consistent with the University's Christian mission and values.
