    We are looking for a talented Sr. Inventory Planner/Control Buyer to join our Orchard Brands Team. This role operates in a hybrid work setting and can be based in the following Markets: Irvine, CA - Mahwah, NJ Warren, PA or Middleton, MA.

    As a Sr. Inventory Planner/Control Buyer, no two days are ever the same In this Role you will plan and forecast for future merchandise buys, provide leadership and mentorship to the Planning team as well as developing, executing and communicating strategic Ecommerce financial plans. This is a highly collaborative Role which connects all areas of our business from Finance and Merchandising all the way to Sourcing and Vendor engagement.     **DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

    Acts as a subject matter expert within the business, taking on additional high level analytical responsibilities and training and mentoring new hires.

    Leverages experience and expertise to anticipate seasonal inventory challenges, leverages the promotional calendar, and has an awareness of broader business strategies to support the goals of the organization.

    Responsible for partnering with the Senior Leadership Team to create new reporting and agile business views to support the changing Ecommerce environment.

    Exhibits high level communication and presentation skills and is confident in presenting results and Action Plans to the Senior Leadership Team.

    Responsible for developing, executing, and communicating strategic Ecommerce financial plans.

    Strategically manages the business to maximize sales and margin, optimizes inventory and ensures that all planning activities support annual goals.

    Uses intuition, experience, and historical knowledge while analyzing current and past business to adjust and adapt forecasts and buy plans accordingly.

    Analyzes future marketing plans to determine appropriate levels of inventory for each item, overstock situations to establish seasonal sales prices and evaluates/determines demand targets for assortment plan development.

    Partners with Finance to manage cash flow and ensure delivery of products.

    Develops, researches, plans and implements an optimal and achievable Inventory Delivery Plan that includes: delivery timing, future purchases, locker stock, greige goods and long term annuity product commitments.

    Collaborates with Sourcing and Vendors to identify opportunities with fabrics, component parts, and container loads to improve service and reduce minimum requirements.

    Monitors and manages the following: inventory irregularities, buy-back opportunities, purchase orders and cancellations, over/under and early/late shipments, daily mailing results, assortment variances and quantities. Ensures that systems and teams are updated accordingly.

    Assesses the impact of variances on the inventory plan and forecasts to identify surplus/deficient stock situations. Expedites, delays, cancels, or reorders inventory as necessary.

    Meets and exceeds fill rate objectives, forecast variances, inventory turns, and inventory $/sales levels.

    Informs Merchandising of response or delivery variances that render planned sales unserviceable or provide additional sales opportunities.

    Performs and manages workload within the determined Corporate Master Schedule.

    **QUALIFICATIONS**

    Associates or Bachelors degree in a related field OR 5+ years of related experience/training OR a combination of education and experience.

    Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word.

    Experience with Direct Techs Forecast 21 software and CWDirect a plus.

    Must be a strong communicator and representative for the Inventory team with the Information Systems department and software vendors.
