VICE PRESIDENT of OPERATIONS NPI - MANUFACTURINGMulti-Plant Position.
Our client, is US Headquartered International Manufacturing Company looking for an outstanding leader for their Director of Operations – NPI – New Product Introduction & Launch position.
The VP will be responsible for developing and leading all continuous improvement initiatives, 5S, Efficiency Improvements, while managing a team of Plant Managers, Engineering Managers and also Contract Manufacturers.
JOB Function:
Manage a high volume manufacturing unit for an Manufacturing company involved in high volume manufacturing engineered products.
Develop and lead continuous improvement in the production area. (improve efficiency using lean, 5s, kanban, kaizen, JIT etc.).
Coordinate manufacturing improvements with Plant Managers in Indiana, Wisconsin, Ohio and contract manufacturers in Poland, Ireland, Romania and Germany.
Manage Plant Managers and other direct reports. Interface with purchasing, training teams, central tool rooms, engineering, quality and shipping departments.
Coordinate with President on goals and strategic initiatives.
Manage Launch of new Products - and introduction of new equipment at Manufacturing Sites. Manage to launch on time with exceptional quality.
Manage quality of new models
Job Requirements
DIRECTOR of OPERATIONS NPI - MANUFACTURING
CANDIDATE Requirements
Must have 10 or more years as a Plant Manager (or Director of Operations or VP) of - Prior Experience in High Volume Industry - Such as Automotive OR Consumer Electronics OR other.
MBA or Masters a plus.
Prior Experience setting up a new Greenfield Site is preferred but not required.
Experience with operational Lean initiatives, 5s, Kaizen, kanban, JIT, Muda Management.
Black Belt or green belt or six sigma experience is a plus.
High energy, solid & good interpersonal skills and technically sound.
Expertise in all aspects of running manufacturing operations (including P&L), with additional experience in Engineering, Finance, Purchasing, Shipping, Logistics, Quality, ISO Certifications ISO 9000, EPA & Environmental - ISO
If you speak German or Polish or other Languages is a plus but not required.
Willing to travel in Europe (Initially 10-30% to manufacturing locations in US, Ireland, Poland, Romania & Hungary)
