    We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Brookfield Properties U.S. Office Division in New York, NY. In this role, you will play a key part in inspiring change and continual improvement. The Solutions Engineer will ensure that the ongoing digital transformation will meet the needs of our business.

    Role & Responsibilities:


    The engineer will report to the SVP of IoT and Digital Workplace work in a collaborative manner with the various functional leads and cross-functional technology groups.

    Over time, the engineer will be expected to understand the ecosystem of various information systems and operational technologies to become an internal SME on all associated technologies.

    The incumbent is expected to be a technology specialist who can apply business leadership in solving technical challenges.5+ years' experience in enterprise systems, SaaS software, and infrastructure related roles3+ years' experience in Level 4 technical lead role while managing competing prioritiesSignificant understanding of edge computing technology and experience in mobile, IoT, 4G/5G, security, cloud, and edge computing solutionsResponsible for engaging with vendors to lead R&D and evaluation of new solutions and / or to enhance existing products and services to optimize business valueBuild rapport to work with a wide range of stakeholders across the businessEstablish strategic roadmaps for product deployment and lifecycle managementDeploy and manage physical and virtual servers in hosted and cloud environmentEnsure optimal performance, availability, and security of existing and new platformsMonitor and optimize the servers, storage, and related infrastructureCollaborate with the infrastructure and application teams to ensure seamless integration of all necessary systems and applicationsAccountable for understanding, documenting, and communicating the technology requirements and associated solutions to help streamline the sourcing, operating, and management of the technology ecosystemDesign and deploy virtualization solutions on hypervisors such as VMWare and vSphereResponsible for developing and maintaining BI Platforms to deliver optimal performanceNetwork knowledge to troubleshoot connectivity issues and collaborate with networking teams to resolve issuesProvide technical guidance to the help desk, infrastructure, and application teamsMaintain documentation of the overall environment, hypervisors, and related processesResponsible for creating, updating, and maintaining comprehensive Visio diagrams as part of project documentation and workflow visualizationActively involved in incident and change management processes, ensuring effective resolution and implementation of improvementsEnd-Point Management with VMWare Workspace platform and / or other similar platformsStrong skills with creating Windows server and workstation images, hardening, and rollouts

    Your Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, or a comparable field is preferredVMWare, Microsoft, Cisco or other industry leading technology certifications like VCP, MCSE, CCNA, CCNP etc.

    Security certifications such as CISSP or CCSPExpense with complex systems (APIs, databases, SDK's, etc.)

    Hands-on experience with datacenter technologies, SAN, NAS, and server architectureExperience with network security protocols (IdP, SSO) (e.g., OAuth, OAuth2, SAML, LDAP)Hands-on experience in multiple cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)Experience with Fortinet, CISCO, Aruba, and other networking platformsSME with EDR, XDR, and end point security in general5+ pre-existing solutions engineering experience in customer-facing roleAbility to understand and communicate complex ideas around a technical topicExcellent communication skills; comfortable leading meetings with C-level contactsConfident dispensing knowledge to a highly skilled and experienced audienceTypically, 10-25% travelYour Career @ Brookfield Properties:
