    MTCI, a SAFEbuilt company, is currently looking for an Inspection Coordinator to support our fast-paced to support our operations. This position offers great opportunity for dynamic, motivated self-starters to work on a variety of work assignments.

    You'll be a member of our highly respected team of professionals with a full complement of resources to support you and exciting projects to keep you challenged.


    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Schedule inspections via database for private provider construction project with appropriate inspector.
    • Communicate all relevant information concerning next steps and timelines to the customer.
    • Update company database with valid permits and relevant notes.
    • Follow up on emails and voicemails in a timely manner
    • Follow up on jobs in pending status to ensure the job is being moved forward
    • Schedule inspection with or provide notification of inspection to appropriate jurisdiction municipality Building Department of private provider scheduled inspections, call inspectors as necessary to confirm daily schedule.
    • Verify valid permits via multiple municipality Building Department websites
    • Bilingual applicants strongly preferred (Spanish and English)

    KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

    • Familiarity with construction inspection terminology and permitting procedures preferred.
    • Organized, self-motivated, and work well in a team environment.
    • Punctual with appointments and deadlines
    • Able to grasp technical concepts and communicate in an effective manner
    • Patient but persistent.
    • Proficient Microsoft Office skills.
    • Excellent customer service representative skills.
    • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
    • Must be able to learn quickly and be able to adapt to an evolving process

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

    • 1+ years of previous field construction experience preferred.
    • ICC Permit Technician and other certifications are a bonus.
    • High School diploma or equivalent required, College degree is preferred.
