    The

    Manager, Data Engineering


    leads a team of data and technical professionals in ensuring the successful planning, development, deployment, implementation and maintenance of Analytics & data solutions, processes, applications and platform infrastructure.

    Furthermore, the Manager will be responsible for reinforcing the overall team strategy and work prioritization.

    How You'll Shine


    • Work with the Director of Data Engineering to align on organizational priorities and determine a work roadmap
    • Lead the Data Engineering team to ensure the effective implementation of Analytics & data solutions required to achieve stakeholder objectives.
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders to make sure data and platform infrastructure meets the business needs in a scalable way
    • Consistently evaluate analytics technology and data platform (both Cloud and on premise), identify gaps and opportunities, evaluate new products, recommend and implement products and solutions that benefit the organization.
    • Ensure current and new solution implementations are automated, maintained and monitored to support smooth operations
    Travel Requirements
    Less than 5% travel required.
    What You'll Bring


    • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field required. Master's Degree preferred.
    • Experience building and managing a strong technical data engineering team focused on delivering results and engineering excellence across the engineering lifecycle - design, build, test, release, and operate, i.e., a full ownership model.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to collect and compile relevant data
    • Extremely organized with great attention to detail
    • Excellent ability to analyze information and think systematically
    • Excellent business analysis skills
    • Works well independently and as part of a team
    • Thorough understanding of the company's business processes and the industry at large
    • Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.
    • Experience building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures and data sets leveraging various scripting languages or ETL tools.
    • Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Demonstrated analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets.
    • Ability to build and use APIs to push and pull data from various data systems and platforms.
    • Build processes supporting data extraction, transformation, and loading of data into data structures.
    • A successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large disconnected datasets.
    • 5 years of overall experience leading technical data engineering teams implementing data and infrastructure solutions in Cloud and on premise environments.
    • 3 years of proven experience working with Apache Spark framework, Hadoop, Java/Scala, Python and AWS architecture.
    • 2 years of proven experience in Microsoft .Net technologies such as C#, VB.Net and experience in designing, developing and deploying Windows & Web applications
    • 3 years of experience in database development using PL/SQL and SQL Server 2012 or later and Snowflake
    • 2 years of proven experience building data pipelines and ETL flows in Cloud and on premise environments using Snowpipe, Informatica, Airflow etc
    Experience equivalent to the education requirement may be accepted in lieu of the education requirement.
