- Assists and directs students crossing streets in order to provide a safe environment for students to walk to school.
- Provides supervision of students in the immediate area of the school crossing and while the student is crossing the street so that students cross the street in an orderly manner.
- Reports traffic violations to the school principal.
- Reports student behavior problems to the school principal.
- Suggests improvements in the procedures for students who walk to school and cross the street so that safety methods are continually evaluated and revised if appropriate.
- Promotes safety at all times to minimize accidents.
- Ability to work effectively with parents, students, and other staff
- Willingness to accept and follow directions.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- No experience required.
- Weather appropriate clothing required.
- Safety vest and stop flag will be provided
- Daily hours during the school year calendar consist of: 7:45am - 8:15am and 2:45pm - 3:30pm
