DAY-TO-DAY
This full-time entry-level apprenticeship works in our office 3 days per week and attends school at Hennepin Technical College 2 days per week.
As an entry-level Business Apprentice, you're responsible for observing and performing different roles within our organization while pursuing a two-year degree at Hennepin Technical College. Your time is split between taking classes and working in our office where you gain experience in human resources, sales, finance, marketing, accounting, and more. While in our office, you learn about our overall business and strategies. You perform a variety of administrative tasks, including managing emails, phone calls, and other work tasks according to department projects.
In addition, you enter and maintain vendor and customer master data, record documents, and assign them to accounts to post to balance sheets and income statement accounts. You develop basics for customer quotes using specific product information. As needed, you compare order confirmations with purchase orders and agree on solutions in case of deviations. You also manage our front desk, assisting customers and employees with questions and issues.
At times, you participate in recruiting processes, which involve helping with job advertisements, selection procedures, and decision-making. With our marketing department, you assist in developing measures as well as planning and organizing resources and determining costs. You're quick to tackle any new assignment that comes your way. Having a job that allows you to explore so many new skills brings you great satisfaction, which is why you excel in this entry-level apprenticeship
