Job Description

LHH is supporting a construction client here in Albuquerque, NM seeking an experienced Project Estimator to join their team. This role is crucial for the accurate calculation of time, money, materials, and labor required for construction projects. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who is a flexible, results-driven team player capable of managing multiple tasks while producing quality work and meeting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
Identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
Compute costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
Present prepared estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Prepare quotes and RFQ packages by gathering necessary information.
Maintain communication on the status of all quotes and manage RFQ files.
Maintain knowledge of industry trends and technologies by attending workshops and reviewing publications.

Qualifications:

5 years of experience in commercial estimating for projects ranging from $5 million to $20 million.
Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
Proficiency with MS Office, Timberline Estimating, and OST (On Screen Take-off) software.
Experience with AutoCAD and other drafting tools preferred.
Strong mathematical and computer skills.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Strategic planning and time management.
Ability to prioritize and work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Logical troubleshooting skills.

Physical and Travel Requirements:

This role is primarily sedentary but may require occasional filing and lifting.
Frequent local and statewide travel required.

Employment Type:

Full-time, non-union position.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

Must pass pre-employment screenings including drug and alcohol tests, background check, and motor vehicle records check.

Pay Details: $75,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
