Position Overview:
As an Estimator/Senior Estimator, you'll be responsible for accurately estimating the costs of interior construction projects in the education and healthcare sectors.
From conducting quantity takeoffs and analyzing project specifications to soliciting bids from subcontractors and vendors, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for education and healthcare interior construction projects.
Conduct thorough quantity takeoffs and material pricing analysis.
Review project specifications and drawings to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
Solicit bids from subcontractors and vendors and negotiate pricing to ensure competitive bids.
Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and clients to understand project requirements and develop comprehensive estimates.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior estimators as needed.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in construction estimating, with a focus on interior construction projects in the education and healthcare sectors.
Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
