YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Summary:
The ideal candidate is a person who is motivated, driven for success and advancement, competitive and comfortable working with ambiguity and autonomy.
Job Description:
Prepareand file Sales and Use tax returns to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
Coordinate Sales and Use tax payments as well as Excise tax payments to ensure timely payment.
Completequarterly and annual tax reports
Updatethe company's tax database
Liaisewith internal and external auditors
Preparereconciliations of tax return details to general ledger transactions andresolve any discrepancies
Performjournal entries related to account reconciliations
Driveprocess improvements to increase efficiencies and streamline month end filings
Assistwith filing Personal Property Tax, Excise Tax, and various other miscellaneous taxreturns as needed
Otherduties and projects as assigned
YOUR PROFILE
Education and Experience:
BSin Accounting or Finance Required - CPA/CMA and/or MBA preferred
5-7+ years of Private Industry and/or PublicAccounting experience preferred.
Previousexperience in Sales and Use Tax filing
Must possess strong analytical and criticalthinking skills as well as ability to perform in a deadline driven environmentand complete task with a high attention to detail.
Demonstratedability to collaborate with others across functional lines and at all levels ofthe organization and drive performance.Willingnessto investigate and stay current on tax related issues.
Systems experience with AS400 Based ERP,SAP, Excel databaseanalysis, and Data analytics platforms (Qlik, Tableau, Anaplan),
