    BUSINESS SOLUTIONS ANALYST – EHS – (T202911)

    Description

    The primary accountabilities below are intended to describe the general content of and requirements of this position and are not intended to be an exhaustive statement of duties.

    To optimize business processes, to conduct data analysis, and to provide actionable insights to support Environmental Health and Safety strategic objectives. To drive operational excellence, informed decision making, and an all-inclusive approach to departmental development and advancement. To contribute to aligning business strategies with operational efficiency and innovation.

    ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:


    • Identifies and evaluates current business processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to redesign and implement streamlined processes. Monitors and measures process performance metrics and continuously seeks improvement opportunities.


    • Gathers and analyzes business requirements from stakeholders, creating detailed requirement documents and translating them into technical specifications. Provides ongoing support to end- users and addresses system-related issues.


    • Collects, interprets, and analyzes complex data sets to generate insights and support data-driven decisions. Monitors data quality and integrity, troubleshoots data discrepancies, and implements corrective measures.


    • Designs and develops BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations, ensuring data quality and integrity. Performs data modeling and creates data structures to support analytical needs.


    • Leads change management efforts for successful process adoption, providing ongoing support to end-users.


    • Reviews policies periodically or upon changes in regulations and ensure that they are updated on a cadence that is appropriate with the materials.


    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    STARTING ANNUAL RATE OF PAY: $60,835.00 – $75, Commensurate with experience & qualifications)



    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Administration, Mathematics, Science or a safety related fields and three (3) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.

    LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/REGISTRATIONS:

    Driving record should meet University underwriting guidelines to drive vehicle in performance of University business. Current underwriting guidelines include possession a valid driver's license, issued in the United States; at least 21 years of age; at least three years of driving experience; maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

    • Advanced analytical, technical, data handling and interpretive skills

    · Expertise in technical and business process improvement

    · Strong project management skills

    · Process mapping skills

    · Must demonstrate an ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships

    · Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    · Strong problem solving skills

    PERSONAL: Required to possess the necessary physical requirements, with or without the aid of mechanical devices, to safely perform the duties and responsibilities that requires bending, stooping, kneeling, walking significant distances between and within buildings on campus, frequent traveling, prolonged standing, climbing stairs, and sitting at computer for long periods of time.
