Seeking a Surgical/Trauma ICU Patient Care Tech (PCT) to join our team and serve some of the highest acuity patients in Illinois.
PCTs who embrace a passion for a dynamic and intense environment that requires quick thinking and possess excellent analytical and assessment skills will see themselves as part of this highly skilled and welcoming team that provides top quality care to our patients.
Performs a variety of direct patient care procedures to assist the clinic manager, professional staff and physicians in providing patient care focused on the needs of the patient.
Responsible for service excellence in both direct and indirect care of patients.Preferred:
High School Diploma plus training acquired through work experience or education
Certified Nursing Assistant
Preferred: 1-2 years of previous job-related experience
Other:
Completion of a Nursing Assistant Program with placement on the Illinois Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry or verification of an equal or higher educational level in a clinically focused program.
Individuals working as Patient Care Technicians at Loyola University Medical Center prior to 1997 are exempt from the above guidelines and are grandfathered into the Patient Care Technicians roles upon successful completion of an in-house orientation and training program for the Patient Care Technician position.
