- Plan, develop, and implement curriculum for use in the classroom
- Revise and modify curriculum accordingly throughout the year, as necessary
- Utilize curricula that reflect the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic
- Cultivate effective professional relationships with students, parents, and
- Create positive educational climate for students
- Attend all required school meetings and public-relations events, including
- Engage in professional development to stay abreast of current topics in
- Fulfill expectations for report writing and assessment of student work and
- Understand and support The Lamplighter School commitment to diversity and

- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
- Knowledge and experience teaching ages years
- Experience in designing curriculum (Literacy, Mathematics, and Social Studies)
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of teaching practices and a commitment to teaching within a caring, highly academic environment
- Knowledge in teaching mathematics and/or literacy
- Strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of current trends and research in early childhood learning
- Willingness to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiar with current effective/research-based strategies for using technology

Description
Under the supervision of the Assistant Head for Teaching & Learning in Lower School,the Lower School Teacher will plan, develop, and implement an effective instructional
program to maintain a classroom environment that supports each student's social,
emotional, and cognitive growth and development in accordance with the policies and
philosophy of The Lamplighter School. The Lower School Teacher will also collaborate
with colleagues while maintaining a positive team attitude.
