    Prep & Recovery Unit (Progressive Care Unit)

    $1930–$2070

    Registered Nurse Qualifications

    Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license (New York State or compact license)

    At least 1 year of recent experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Step-Down Unit, or acute care nursing job

    BLS certification (American Heart Association required)

    Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient care skills

    Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

    PCU Nurse Responsibilities

    Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Prep & Recovery (PCU) setting

    Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions, recognizing changes and responding promptly

    Administer medications, IV therapies, and prescribed treatments

    Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for patient care coordination and discharge planning

    Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and post-discharge instructions

    Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
