The job of School Counselor was established for the purpose of providing support to the instructional process with specific responsibility for providing individual and group counseling to students, providing information and recommendations to students and parents, and assisting in the development of goals and plans for achievement.
Minimum requirements:

• PDE Certification as Elementary and Secondary School Counselor
• Master's degree
• Job related experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent interpersonal and team building skills
• Ability to function independently within prescribed timelines
• Flexible and reliable
• Ability to work effectively with a computer and computer programs
