    Shift Available:
    (36 hours/week) 7a-7p or 7p-7a

    In our Medicine Specialty Unit, you have the opportunity to gain a higher level of nursing in the same unit with the same team and same leadership by working with both Step Down and Medical beds.

    The Medicine Specialty Unit is a part of the largest service line within the hospital system.

    This unit is looking for motivated, compassionate, and disciplined nurses who crave a stimulating, learning experience, and work well with a team.

    The Medicine Specialty unit works with complex and varied patients with multifaceted disease processes.

    If you have more than one (1) year of RN experience, please search for positions titled "Experienced RN" to start the application process.

    Under general supervision, provides nursing care in a hospital to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex.

    Inability to perform these responsibilities with or without an accommodation may result in disqualification from the position.

    Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; Obtains and monitors physiological data of patients, observes the physiological manifestations of patients and intervenes when necessary.

    Delivers patient care competently.
    Interacts with family and patient in sharing care plan while in the hospital and at time of discharge.
    Informs patient and family of hospital procedures.
    Makes referral regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
    Delegates tasks to support staff.
    Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required. Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing Board Approved Program preferred
    License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s)

    Required:

    Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).

    Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques and procedures. Ability to organize, plan, coordinate and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques. Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors. Some computer skills.
