Job summary:
This position is in the Division of Safety and Emergency Services at the Statue of Liberty National Monument and Ellis Island. The incumbent functions as a Supervisory Park Ranger (Preventative Search and Rescue) and has the responsibility of supervising a team of Emergency Services personnel.The team is responsible for preparing for emergencies that may occur within ICON Park to ensure visitor safety.
The job entails performing administrative duties such as hiring, counseling, evaluating employees,
- managing emergency response operations;
- overseeing daily park operations with other division supervisors;
- aids in creating new guidelines or revised operating procedures related to matters involving search rescue activities.
