    Description

    Pay Rate:
    $53 per hour.
    The Construction Manager supports the fiber/small cell field construction team to build out network.


    Essential job functions include:
    Schedules inspection and work phases with construction managers, contractors, inspectors, and any other key personnel. Assists Construction Supervisors with creation of purchase orders by reviewing construction drawings to create schedules of value (SOV's).

    Ensure that all jobs are maintained in a project tracking system with complete accuracy, including monitoring of key pre-construction permitting tasks.

    Coordinate management of materials, including sourcing, ordering, receiving, project issuance, and ongoing inventory management (will require onsite visits to local GC yards).

    Ensure accurate and complete files are maintained for projects and appropriate closeout documents are created and distributed in a timely manner and are in accordance with corporate and customer standards.

    Maintains project records which include GC daily locate logs, material trackers, as-built plans, and invoice records. Make occasional trips to sites during construction to support Field Construction Managers, ensuring all work is done safely. Coordinate with functional teammates on designs, permits, and customer communication.

    Act as safety observer and Quality Assurance representative while at the site ensuring compliance with safety program and related workmanship practices.


    Education/Certifications:
    High School Degree or equivalent required. A valid driver's license required.


    Experience/Minimum Requirements:
    Minimum two (2) years of telecommunications/wireless construction experience preferred. Familiarity with Outside Plant Construction techniques (aerial & underground) for SCS.


    Other Skills/Abilities:
    Knowledge of budget development and execution. Ability to read and understand blueprints. Knowledge of construction management process. Strong computer skills
    • MS Office, SmartSheets, Microsoft Teams knowledge preferred.

    Working Conditions:

    This is a hybrid position which will require 4 days per week in the office and 1 day per week remoteWork in a normal office setting with no exposure to adverse environmental conditions 90% of the timeWill be required to travel to project sites and GC yards with exposure to heavy equipment and environmental conditions 10% of the time.
