Junior Data Engineer

• ONSITELocation: Army Cyber Institute, West Point, NY 10996BluePath Labs is looking for a Junior Data Engineer to support our team at the Army Cyber Institute (ACI) in West Point, NY.

This effort will have direct operational relevance. The successful candidate will demonstrate a track record of successfully working in a collaborative environment. They will be working with leading Army researchers and programs and partners throughout the US Government. This position will start immediately.


Responsibilities:
Assist in the writing of scholarly manuscripts, research projects, white papers, and proposals.
Responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining data pipelines and data models that support advanced research and analysis.

Work both alone and as part of a team with other developers, designers, and stakeholders to deliver highquality datadriven insights, analytics, and models.

Perform exploratory data analysis, cleaning, and labeling on both structured and unstructured data.
Implement and train Machine Learning (ML) models on various data types, including text, tabular, time series and image data.

Comfortable working with onpremise and cloudnative environments for the discovery, extraction, and analysis of patterns and trends to gather, process, and derive valuable insights needed to build AIenabled capabilities.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (CS), statistics, mathematics, Data Science (DS), Data Engineering (DE), Software Engineering (SE), Computer Engineering (CE), Information Technology (IT), information Systems (ISYS), Operations Research (OR), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Electrical Engineering (EE), Industrial & Systems Engineering (ISE), or a related technical field.

Primary programming proficiency in Python.

Familiarity with Ubuntu Linux and virtualization technologies (e.g., Docker).Experience designing and querying relational (RDB) and non-relational databases (NRDB) (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).Familiarity with Ubuntu Linux and virtualization technologies (e.g., Docker).S.

citizenship.
Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.


Required Qualifications:
Experience with R, Julia, Matlab, Rust, etc.
Knowledge of computer and network security principles, datasets, and tools.
Understanding of data visualization concepts and best practices.
Familiarity with User-Centered Design (UCD) or Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) principles.
Familiarity with studying and comparing LLMs (e.g., Hugging Face).


Salary and Benefits:
The salary range for this position will be $70,000-$110,000, commensurate with experience.
