    Lead Platform Analyst Job Description

    As a Lead Platform Analyst, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Kubernetes clusters, ensuring their availability, scalability, security, and reliability. You will work closely with DevOps, software engineering, and infrastructure teams to deploy, configure, automate, and optimize Kubernetes-based infrastructure both on-premise and in the cloud. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Kubernetes administration, containerization, automation, and cloud technologies. Youll need a deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture and proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving.

    Responsibilities:

    Implement and manage Kubernetes clusters for containerized applications using SUSE Rancher and AWS.

    Design, deploy, and maintain infrastructure solutions using automation technologies ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.

    Work closely with cloud providers (AWS,Azure) to leverage managed Kubernetes services and optimize infrastructure costs.

    Collaborate with development teams to deploy, scale, and optimize applications in Kubernetes environments.

    Ensure the smooth operation of the cluster, including handling application deployments and scaling.

    Collaborate with DevOps and software engineering teams to design and implement CI/CD pipelines for Kubernetes-based applications.

    Monitor cluster health, performance, and resource utilization.

    Troubleshoot issues related to Kubernetes components, pods, and services.

    Promote security best practices within the Kubernetes environment.

    Optimize resource allocation and utilization for efficiency.

    Implement security best practices for Kubernetes clusters, including RBAC, network policies, and vulnerability management.

    Research and implement automation solutions to streamline processes.

    Mentor team members on Kubernetes best practices.

    Qualifications:

    The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:

    • 7+ years of experience supporting container-based platforms including Docker and Kubernetes

    5+ years experience architecting and administering AWS services

    • Expert knowledge and experience in installing, administering, and maintaining Linux based software
    • Extensive knowledge in designing and implementing redundant systems including data backups/recoveries, high availability, load balancing, and disaster recovery
    • Extensive knowledge in application deployment automation and DevOps practices
    • Extensive knowledge with IT automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform

    Extensive knowledge of Azure DevOps

    • Knowledgeable of core IT infrastructure technologies including virtualization, networking, and storage management
    • Knowledgeable of modern DevOps practices and infrastructure as code
