    CONSTRUCTION MANAGER AND SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER - MAJOR HEALTHCARE GOVERNMENT PROGRAMS

    Seeking motivated

    Project Managers/Construction Managers

    (PM/CM) with a degree in

    Electrical Engineering

    and a

    Sr. Project Manager/Construction Manager

    with construction program technical education and experience to join our team on a

    VA Construction Program

    in

    Madison, WI

    . Candidates will act as Design and Construction Managers reporting to a Program Manager as well as collaborate and assist VA client staff to provide data, and generate reports, as a representative for the client on major healthcare construction projects.


    Responsibilities:
    Project Managers/Construction Managers

    PM/CM will be a part of a team of professionals and act as the Owner's Representative role on these programs from design through construction and closeout.

    PM/CM will be required to learn and integrate our company's best practices related to project delivery, budget, schedule, quality, and operations in the healthcare environment.

    PM/CM will act as an advisor/liaison with the client (user groups, design team, contractors, and facility engineering representatives). The CM services will be used to support traditional Design-Bid-Build and Design/Build contracts. A summary of the major tasks is below.

    Pre-Design/Design Phase
    i. Scheduling
    ii. Planning
    iii. Value Engineering
    iv. Market Analysis
    v. Constructability and Phasing Review

    Construction Period Phase
    i. Establishing temporary field offices
    ii. Monitoring project financial data and budgetary cost accounting
    iii. Construction Phase scheduling
    iv. Progress Meetings
    v. Assisting in issue resolution.
    vi. Testing and Inspection Services
    vii. Commissioning
    viii. Performing additional construction-related services
    ix. Claims Analysis and Resolution Services

    Sr. Project Manager/Construction Manager
    The Sr.

    Project Manager will provide leadership and mentorship and provide project and/or construction management of a single major program or project or multiple projects.

    Provides decisive direction in regard to business, technical, and personnel management involving multi-disciplinary and diverse functional activities. Sr.

    Project Manager will be required to learn, teach, and implement industry, client, and internal company best practices related to project delivery, budget, schedule, quality, and operations in the healthcare environment.

    Sr.

    Project Manager will require experience leading and mentoring a team of professionals and experience as an advisor/liaison with the client (user groups, design team, contractors, and facility engineering representatives).

    The CM services will be used to support traditional Design-Bid-Build and Design/Build contracts. A summary of the major tasks is below.

    Overall management, in terms of technical quality, cost, and schedule.
    Maintains daily progress reports and inspection reports. Leads the inspection and quality assurance team assigned to projects to ensure timely and effective project oversight.

    Identify and mitigate risks on the project(s) that will impact medical center facilities or that could have a severe impact on patient care.



    Qualifications:


    Licensing:
    Professional Engineer (None required for Sr. PM)

    Education:
    Bachelor of

    Electrical Engineering

    for the

    PM/CM

    and

    Construction Management

    ,

    Engineering

    , or

    Architecture

    from an accredited University OR 15 years of directly related experience for the

    Sr. PM

    .

    Experience:
    Minimum of

    6 years of experience

    for the

    PM/CM

    in both design and construction.

    7 years of experience

    for the

    Sr. PM


    in the management of healthcare facility construction projects including supervision of engineering, design and construction, schedule control, cost management, program budgeting, and overall project management activities.

    Professional experience should include strong knowledge of construction documents, as well as superior management and communication skills.

    Knowledge:
    Able to quickly understand and master
    Requirements of local state and federal jurisdictions in relation to the Project.
    Construction Contract Documents including Front End and Technical Specifications and Drawings to readily understand and assess the requirements.
    Working knowledge of engineering services, building codes, budgeting, and scheduling to lead to the project's success.

    Leadership:
    Must possess the ability to collaborate and integrate with other professionals
    Preferred

    Qualifications:

    Experience with Healthcare and Federal projects.
    CCM, CQM, PMP, OHSA certifications
