Retired RN- PreOp PACU EHT surgery Center

The Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing care process consistent with their license and/or certification including initiation of culturally competent continuum of care including inpatient, outpatient and community settings.

The Registered Nurse is responsible to oversee any necessary coordination of the interdisciplinary plan of care and provides for its consistency with the medical treatment plan.

The patient care process includes:

• Assessment - an orderly process consisting of the identification, gathering and organization of subjective and objective data pertaining to the patient/family/significant other, including physical, psychosocial, spiritual and cultural.
• Planning - an organized step in the process that consists of the identification of actual or potential problems and desired outcomes (goals) that result in a documented plan of care. The plan of care provides direction for the patient/family/significant other and interdisciplinary team.
• Intervention - the specific interventions or orders that are implemented consistent with the plan of care and medical treatment plan.
• Evaluation - a step in the process that involves determining the effectiveness of the interventions in achieving the plan of care and determining the conclusions concerning the achievement or lack of achievement of desired outcomes. The evaluation may initiate the need for reassessment and revisions to the problems, goals, plan of care, and interventions. Patients have problems identified and prioritized relative to biophysical, psychological, environmental, self care, educational and social status.
• Goals are identified consistent with the problem to provide direction for patient care and health promotion.
• Employee may be required to perform Limited Laboratory Services to include: patient identification and preparation for specimen collection, processing samples for testing, performing required quality control testing and instrument maintenance and function checks, monitoring, recording and reporting tests results to clinicians to include critical values, and maintaining competency/certification of the aforementioned tasks and duties.

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Valid NJ Driver's License is required for all employees in the Adult and Child Partial Programs.

EXPERIENCE:
Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at time of hire; Emergency Room
City 2-4 years medical/surgical experience preferred; 2 years emergency room experience preferred.
Emergency Room
Mainland 2-4 years medical/surgical experience preferred; 2 years emergency room experience preferred.
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit/Intermediate Care Unit 2-4 years neonatal Intensive Care Unit experience preferred. Mother/Baby Unit (OB) 2-4 years mother/baby experience preferred. OB certification required
Operating Room Minimum 1 year medical/surgical experience desired; 1-2 years operating room experience preferred. Critical Care (ICU) 2-4 years medical/surgical experience preferred; 1-2 years critical care experience preferred. Medical/Surgical
3 Pines/3 Central 1-2 years medical/surgical experience preferred. Effective February 18th 2020, ACLS is required for all currently hired employees on 3 Pines. Medical/Surgical
(2S, 4H, 5H, 7H, 4 M) 1-2 years medical/surgical experience preferred.
Dialysis
(renal, acute) 1-2 years medical/surgical experience preferred; 1-2 years dialysis experience preferred. Psychiatry
(PIP if not a screener 1-2 years medical/surgical experience preferred; 1-2 years psychiatry experience preferred. (Psychiatric intervention program) 1-2 yrs medical/surgical experience preferred; 3 years psychiatry experience one of which is in a crisis setting required. Current NJ State Certification as a Mental Health Screener required.
Pediatrics 1-2 years medical/surgical experience preferred; Radiology
(radiology adm ) 2-4 years medical/surgical experience preferred; Critical Care experience preferred. cath lab, EP) 1-2 years critical care, emergency room or telemetry experience preferred; Trauma ICU 1 year trauma experience required 2 years preferred. Oncology
(1 south/ 1 Meadow years medical/surgical experience preferred. Endoscopy Minimum 2 years medical/surgical experience preferred; endoscopy, telemetry and critical care experience preferred. Telemetry
(1-2 years medical/surgical experience preferred. Oncology 13 years oncology experience preferred. Medical Oncology Infusion Services 1-3 years oncology experience preferred. PACU/SDS 1-3 years critical care or PACU experience required. Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) 1-3 years medical/surgical experience preferred. Acute Partial/Child
Adolescent Program 1 yr experience in behavioral health setting. Bloodless Surgery 1-2 years medical/surgical experience preferred
Wound Care Out Patient 1-2 years medical/surgical experience preferred.
Wound care and HBO Training course through Healogics is required within 1 year from date of hire or transfer. Hammonton Satellite Emergency Department

2-4 years medical/surgical experience preferred; 2 years emergency room experience preferred ACLS required Within 6months of initial assignment and continuously maintained thereafter.

Structural Heart 2-3 year experience in cardiology
Phlebotomy

Bariatric Morbid obese adult with all comorbid illness/conditions, including but not limited to: cardiac/cardiovascular, metabolic; Cath Lab Cardiac/vascular conditions and diseases including but not limited to: CAD, carotid stenosis, renal stenosis, PVD, etc.

Critical Care Acute medical/surgical care of skeletal muscular, renal orthoconditions and diseases including but not limited to: AMI, CAD, PVD, CVA/TIA, COPD, CHF, shock, renal failure, metabolic disorders, etc.

Behavioral Health Behavioral health illnesses including but not limited to bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, depression, psychosis, etc.
Dialysis Patients with acute or chronic renal failure or chronic renal disease.
Endoscopy Chronic pain management, endoscopic procedures of cardiovascular, GI, pulmonary conditions and disease, etc.

Emergency Department Triage, assess and treat patients of all age presenting for emergency care for all body systems, conditions and diseases including but not limited to: coronary, pulmonary, neuro, skeletal muscular, GI/metabolic, GU/renal, GYN, integumentary, etc.

Intermediate Care Monitored post-surgical care including but not limited to neuro, GI, GU/GYN, peripheral vascular interventions, orthopedic procedures, etc.

Medical diagnoses including but not limited to:
cardiac, pulmonary, neuron, GI, VCA/TIA and renal conditions, etc.

Medical Surgical Medical/Surgical diagnoses including but not limited to orthopedic, neuron, GI, GU/GYN, renal, metabolic, pulmonary systems and those requiring isolation/precautions.

Telemetry/Medical/Surgical Cardiac/cardiovascular, neuro, GI conditions and diseases including not limited to: CAD, PVD, COPD, CHF, metabolic disorders, etc.

Telemetry/Stroke Cardiac/cardiovascular, neuron, renal, GI conditions and diseases including but not limited to: CAD, PVD, CVA/TIA, COPD, CHF, metabolic disorders, etc.

Wound Care Ostomy diversion surgeries, wound care, pressure sore/ulcer etc.
Structural Heart Adults with Structural Heart disease and other comorbid conditions including but not limited to: CAD, PAD, Heart Failure, Lung disease, Obesity, Diabetes, Arrhythmias
This position reports to the patient care unit or department leadership.
