    Join Our Team: Psychiatrist Position Available at Advaita Integrated Medicine (AIM)

    Location: Chapel Hill area (In-person)

    About AIM:Advaita Integrated Medicine is at the forefront of integrated care, blending psychiatric and preventative care with therapy for individuals grappling with substance use and a range of mental health conditions such as bipolar disorder, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and ADHD. Located in the vibrant communities of Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill, and extending care throughout North Carolina via virtual services, AIM is dedicated to fostering human flourishing through a mission-driven and values-based approach.

    Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Psychiatrist to join our interdisciplinary team, working under the guidance of AIM's Medical Director. This role involves direct patient care including psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and health assessments. The successful candidate will collaborate with clinical teams to develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, interpret lab tests, and provide comprehensive patient education.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and physical exams.
    • Develop and implement treatment plans, manage medications, and oversee patient progress.
    • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
    • Engage in patient education to discuss treatment options and expectations.
    • Provide referrals for specialized care and follow up on patient care as needed.
    • Contribute to the team by attending and participating in meetings and sharing knowledge.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Board certified or board eligible Psychiatrist (MD or DO) with completion of a psychiatric residency.
    • Subspecialty fellowship completion is an advantage.
    • Minimum three years clinical experience, particularly in substance use disorder field.
    • Hold an unrestricted and active medical license in North Carolina and DEA license.
    • Exceptional communication skills with proficiency in English.
    • Demonstrated competence in evidence-based medical practice.
