    About Our Opportunity

    We are seeking a full-time BE/BC Hematology Oncologist to join our well-established cancer center in Pittsburg, Kansas. As a member of our team, you will be part of a strong, physician-led organization known for its quality of care and patient satisfaction.

    About Our Cancer Center

    Our cancer center offers state-of-the-art cancer detection and treatment services, including sophisticated radiation therapy equipment, chemotherapy, and cancer specialists and support staff. We have seven private treatment suites and a refurbished patient and family resource room providing a comfortable space for patient and family education, nutritional counseling, and spiritual and emotional support services.

    About Our Practice

    • You will join two experienced Hem/Oncs, one Radiation Oncologist, one Dosimetrist, one Physicist, one Oncology Pharmacist, four RNs, one MA, and one Nurse Coordinator.
    • The call schedule is 1:3.
    • We have seven private treatment suites and eight exam rooms.
    • We utilize a TrueBeam Linear Accelerator.
    • This position is available due to growth in the practice, with a quick practice ramp-up.
    • Call coverage is limited to only one hospital that is attached to the clinic.
    • We have a weekly multidisciplinary tumor board on site.
    • The clinic is adjacent to an Infusion Center with an onsite pharmacy.
    • We have an active Research program.
    • We have a teaching affiliation with Kansas City University, with the ability to have medical students in clinic with a stipend.
    • We use system-wide EPIC HER.
    • We see a diversity of cases due to our 30-mile radius catchment area.

    Mercy Clinic Offers:

    • A 2-year guarantee of $600,000, plus $75,000 in Recruitment Incentives.
    • Up to $10,000 in relocation assistance.
    • As a not-for-profit system, Mercy qualifies for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF).
    • Four weeks of vacation plus six holidays (while on guarantee).
    • One week for CME and an annual $5,000 CME allowance.
