    Administrative Assistant Position

    We are seeking an organized and customer-focused Administrative Assistant to join our team at Ecole Bilingue, a private French school in New Orleans. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Head of School and other members of the administrative team, ensuring the day-to-day operations of the school run smoothly.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Provide exceptional customer service to parents, students, visitors, and staff, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
    • Serve as building manager for the middle school building, ensuring doors are properly secured and supervised.
    • Create and disseminate important school news to parents through various channels, including email and social media.
    • Communicate with Parents regarding field trips, clubs, aftercare, beforecare, injuries, tardiness, calendar events, special events, and general curricular information.
    • Maintain accurate records for students and staff.
    • Manage attendance and observation logs for staff and students.
    • Coordinate and procure office and classroom equipment and supplies from teachers, adhering to budget guidelines.
    • Assist with payment processing functions, requiring attention to detail and communication with the finance team.
    • Attend continuing education sessions to meet requirements for school licensure.
    • Participate in regular after-school faculty meetings.
    • Represent the school in a positive and professional manner at all times, including school-related functions.
    • Pursue continuing education sessions as necessitated by Louisiana Department of Social Services and Department of Education licensing and accreditation requirements.

    Requirements:

    • A bachelor's degree or higher in administration management or a relevant field, such as business administration, finance, communication, or marketing.
    • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in operations and/or customer service, preferably in schools or other nonprofits.
    • Advanced knowledge and understanding of communications, accounting, human resources, business law, and/or financial analysis are preferred.
