    Title: Java-SQL Developer

    Clearance: Public Trust

    Job Description:
    • Researches, designs, implements, and manages software programs as well as tests and evaluates new programs. Resolves problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements. Writing and implementing efficient code. Develop quality assurance procedures and deploy software tools, processes, and metrics. Works closely with other developers, UX designers, and business and systems analysts. Acts as team leader on projects. Participates in the development of software user manuals. Instructs, assigns, directs, and checks the work of other software developers on the development team. Consult with engineering staff to evaluate software hardware interfaces and develop specifications and performance requirements.

    Required Skills/Experience:
    • Java
    • Spring Framework as a comprehensive programming and configuration model
    • SQL
    • HTML/JavaScript/CSS
    • Basic LINUX usage (navigating, reading files, sudo commands)

    Software Knowledge:
    • Rational Application Developer
    • SQL Developer / SQL Plus
    • PuTTY / WinSCP
    • WebSphere
    • Subversion
    • loud Platform Development
    • Event streaming platforms are used to collect, process, store, and integrate data at scale. (such as Kafka)
    • Working knowledge of control-M jobs / POB system, as well as the basics of as AFT system
    • Microservices design

    Skills in:
    • DevSecOps, Secure Coding practices, and the Solutions Development Framework (Docker, Jenkins, GitLab)
    • Functional Knowledge (one of more of the following):
    • Knowledge/experience with Agile Methodologies
    • Knowledge/experience of SDLC practices
    • Change Management and Configuration Management (VersionOne, ServiceNow, etc.)
    • Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)
    • API Tools, working, and best practices
    • Security
    • Performance tuning

    Additional Required Skills/Experience:
    • At least eight (8) to twelve (12) years of relevant experience.
    • A degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable field of services is required. If the individual's degree is not in the applicable field then four additional years of related experience is required.
    • Typically performs all functional duties independently.

    Education:
