    Position Summary:

    The Truckstop UX team is seeking a UX Manager to lead a team of talented product designers and researchers, guiding them in creating compelling user interfaces and conducting insightful user research to inform product development. The UX Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience of our web and mobile products, ensuring they are intuitive, efficient, and provide value to our users.

    This is a strategic role, requiring strong partnership with many other functions within the organization, including Product, Engineering, and Senior Leadership. A strong point of view on design is essential, proven design experience, implementation of strategies in a complex ecosystem, as well as the expertise of blending the art and the science of a well-crafted experience.

    This position reports directly to the Sr. Director of User Experience.

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to a team of UX designers and researchers.
    • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture focused on continuous improvement and excellence in user experience design.
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive UX strategy aligned with the company's business objectives and user needs.
    • Oversee the planning, execution, and analysis of user research activities, including usability testing, surveys, and interviews.
    • Translate user insights into actionable recommendations to enhance product usability and satisfaction.
    • Lead the design process from concept to implementation, ensuring a user-centered approach and adherence to design best practices.
    • Collaborate closely with product management, engineering, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of UX design efforts
    • Advocate for the user throughout the product development lifecycle, championing their needs and preferences.
    • Coach team to use established design system, style guides, patterns and assets in the creation of UX deliverables.
    • Demonstrate strong project management skills through thorough planning, estimation and deadline management
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Position Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
    • 6-10 years of experience in a design-oriented role
    • 3-5 years of previous leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of designers and researchers.
    • Proven experience in UX leadership, with a strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in usability principles and design methodologies.
    • Passion for creating exceptional user experiences and driving product innovation.
    • Familiarity with UX tools such as Figma, Pendo and Useberry or similiar tools
    • Solid understanding of user research methods, including usability testing, user interviews, and surveys.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
    • Experienced in large-scale SaaS application design
    • Ambitious, highly skilled, and extremely organized designer
    • Comfortable with fast-paced environments, quick timelines, and changing priorities
    • Experience in the transportation or logistics industry is a plus.
    • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
    • Native mobile experience nice to have

In an effort to provide greater transparency, we are sharing the base salary range for this position. The position is also eligible for a yearly bonus. Final salary is based on a number of factors including market location, job-related knowledge, education/training, certifications, key skills, experience, internal peer equity as well as business considerations.


    The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

    $136,000—$174,000 USD
