- Perform a variety of complex specialized tasks utilizing ultrasonic high frequency sound waves to detect abnormalities including masses, abscesses, and stones. Assist physicians with biopsy procedures, guiding biopsy instrument using sonographic techniques.
- Utilize accessory equipment such as transducers, multi-format cameras, printers, and PACS workstations.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explain procedures to patients. Report changes in patient condition to medical staff. Provide an oral and written summary of preliminary findings to the radiologist. Evaluate quality of sonograms. Determine if additional sonograms or ultrasound procedures are indicated.

- Utilize accessory equipment such as selective transducers, multi-format cameras, printers, and PACS workstations.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explain procedures to patients. Report changes in patient condition to medical staff. Provide an oral and written summary of preliminary findings to the radiologist.
- Evaluate quality of sonograms. Determine if additional sonograms or ultrasound procedures are indicated.
- Maintain patient records in division.
- Collaborate in quality control of equipment and filming and obtains service as required.
- Proficient in the performance of ultrasound procedures.
- Provide direction and instruction to existing personnel and training to new sonographers.
- Act in a team leader or leadership capacity on an as needed basis.
- Ensure correct charging of ultrasound procedures and supplies on a daily basis.
- Other Ultrasound Technicians/Sonographer duties as assigned
- A certification from an accredited ultrasound/sonography school related field preferred.
- Minimum of one year of experience as an ultrasound technician/sonographer preferred.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Current BLS card.
- Current TB test or chest x-ray.
- Current physical exam per state or Ultrasound Technicians/Sonographer contract requirements.
- Successfully pass all screening exams
- Must meet all of Amergis's pre-employment screening requirements

Description
Amergis Healthcare Staffing is looking for Ultrasound Technicians/Sonographers to perform a variety of specialized technical tasks utilizing high frequency ultrasound waves to assist with the detection of anatomical abnormalities.Responsibilities:
Travel Pay Package: 40 Hours/Week
Hourly: $32 | Taxable: $1,280 | Stipends: $1,785 | Total Weekly Pay: $3,065
Local Pay Package: 40 Hours/Week
Hourly: $68 | Total Weekly Pay: $2,720
*Local Rate applies if residence is within 50 miles of facility
General Comments
Nights 5x8s, 40hrs per week
11:30pm-8:00am
Sunday through Thursday every week (block schedule)
