    Brooksource is seeking a talented Junior Developer to join our Fortune 500 Financial Services client.

    In this role, you will play a crucial part in building and maintaining a new Payments Platform, which is a top priority enterprise-wide project.

    The platform requires the addition of new capabilities, and you'll be working with cutting-edge technologies.

    While this is a developer role, this individual will be expected to create their own unit tests and be well-versed in the entire software development lifecycle.


    Tech Stack and Development Tools:

    • TypeScript
    • Kafka
    • AWS DynamoDB
    • AWS Lambda
    • Kubernetes
    • Automated test suite: Jest, Selenium, Test containers
    *Responsibilities:

    *API Interaction and Mocking:
    • Understand how our APIs interact with external systems not owned by our team.
    • Mock or impersonate the behavior of those external systems using code.
    *Development and Testing:
    • Collaborate with a scrum team to build, enhance, and support digital products.
    • Conduct automated tests and follow QA best practices.
    • Flex into QA tester roles as needed for the team.
    • Work on new feature development and bug resolution.
    *Code Reviews and Collaboration:
    • Participate in code reviews as both a reviewer and a code contributor.
    • Provide feedback to improve code quality.
    • Collaborate with architects, product managers, and design leads to design system-wide capabilities.
    *Preferred Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
    • Strong technical skills aligned with our tech stack.
    • Confidence in quickly learning new technologies with the help of learning tools and the team.
    • Demonstrated critical thinking, ownership mindset, and continuous learning.
    • Experience with agile development methods.
    • Ability to dissect problems, design solutions, and collaborate effectively with the team.
