Expand your technical and professional skills in a real-world setting. Emerson co-ops are given meaningful work, support, and mentorship from experienced managers and key business leaders.
There is the potential to gain knowledge and experience in a variety of ways by exploring opportunities associated with your major and rotating through multiple departments.
In this Role,Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Conduct tests using various types of lab equipment.
Build circuit board prototypes using through-hole and surface mount technologies.
Create schematics and PCB layout used to design embedded circuit boards on CAD.Learn "C" programming of microcontrollers.
Design, build, and test complete circuit boards.
Who You Are:
You engage frontline employees for input and evaluate their best ideas. You utilize analytical tools to help explore potential scenarios. You know to prepare for unexpected outcomes and try different solutions.

You Will Need:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related fieldAbility to work full-time during the scheduled semesterLegal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided

This role has the flexibility of a core hour schedule.
You can choose to flex your start and stop times given you are working during the core hours of 9:00am - 3:00pm.

Rockford is located about 1.5 hours from the Chicago metropolitan area. Known as the Forest City, Rockford residents have their pick of natural gardens and arboretums to explore.

Since the invention of the modern pipe wrench in 1923, the 25-acre RIDGID world headquarters in Elyria, Ohio has been developing tools that help trades professionals tackle jobs faster, safer, and more accurately.
The campus is also home to a factory tool service center and a state-of-the-art "School House" training center that educates and trains hundreds of tradespersons annually.
