    Description
    What are we looking for in our Lab Assistant?
    The Scientific Team at Russell Tobin / Pride Health is helping a top diagnostic organization near Gaithersburg, MD to find the right candidate for a contract Laboratory Assistant position.
    Responsibilities:
    • Perform various routine laboratory tasks to support professional staff
    • Handle specimen receiving and processing
    • Conduct routine instrument maintenance
    • Perform lab centrifugation, label printing, data recording, and specimen storage
    • Prepare reagents
    • Carry out assigned QA/QC duties
    • Maintain a clean work area
    • Other assigned tasks
    Requirements:
    • Math and science coursework experience preferred (entry level, training provided)
    • Strong organizational and critical thinking skills
    Additional Notes:
    • Environment: Fast-paced lab setting
    • Flexible shift schedule
      • 8am-12pm
    • 4-month contract
    • Pay rate range: $20-22/hr based on experience
    Must be authorized to work in the United States.
